On 19 May 2026, the Tirana Chamber of Commerce and Industry & Albanian Skills successfully organized a hybrid expert workshop bringing together VET leaders, teachers, organizations active in vocational education, AKPA representatives, and key stakeholders from across Albania.

The discussion focused on the digital and entrepreneurial skills needed in today’s labour market, highlighting the importance of digital literacy, adaptability, teamwork, communication, entrepreneurial thinking, and continuous learning.

Participants identified key challenges facing the VET sector, including outdated curricula, limited practical infrastructure, and the need for stronger integration of digital tools, AI technologies, smart classrooms, and modern teaching methodologies.

The workshop also emphasized the importance of closer cooperation between VET providers and businesses, continuous capacity building for teachers, and fostering entrepreneurial mindsets among students to better prepare them for employment and self-employment opportunities.
